Position Title: Manager Information Systems
Location: Tianjin Teda
Department: Information Systems
Reports to (Position): China IS Manager
Overall Purpose of the Job
The purpose of this position is to supervise and manage the Application and Infrastructure teams in support of company.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Participate business meetings, work with other IT resources and translate business needs to IT solutions.
• Lead and participate in the processes to deploy, and support IT technologies in support of the
business need.
• Develop, in cooperation with Beijing, worldwide telecommunication networks that solve business voice and data needs.
• Assist the China IS Manager and other China unit’s systems staff in aligning their strategic
business and technology plans.
• Assist China IS Manager develop, manage and track budget plan for company
• Provide leadership and work direction to this company IT team. Supervise daily Operational
processes and procedures.
• Mentor new IS employees. Assist in resolution of difficult technical issues.
• Maintains and manages IS Supplier contact, and communication.
• Manage IT projects to ensure the quality of the project.
Skills Essential to the Job
Technical
• Must have in depth knowledge of IT technologies and toolsets.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office software and Operating Systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
• General knowledge of computer language and database:
• JavaScript, Java, C, C++, Object-Oriented Programming
• SAP, ABAP
• HTML, SGML
• Visual Basic
• SQL, DB2, Oracle
• UNIX administration, NT administration
Business
• At least 2 years of IT management experiences
• Understand basic ERP manufacturing systems such as SAP, or MRP.
• Proficiency in English.
• Strong Project Management skills.
Human Relations
• Must be highly organized and able to meet multi-tasking demands.
• Must be effective when leading a team of people.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information.
• Must be tactful, diplomatic, and trustworthy.
Qualifications Required
Educational
• Four-year bachelors degree.
• University degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent;
