The 'Import from Excel' function is similar to the 'Data Transfer Workbench' (DTW); both are based on the 'Data Interface' (DI). Unlike the DTW however, the 'Import from Excel' function does not allow customised mapping. Therefore, it is not possible to add UDFs. For this purpose, you can use the DTW to import the data in the UDFs.
The UDFs are not available for selection in 'Import from Excel' function.

With the DTW, the UDFs are available for selection in the 'Map Rule' tab. If the UDF names in the template are exactly the same as that of the fields in the table, they will be mapped automatically.
