Where are figures in the 'Committed' column in the 'Item Master Data' coming from?


The 'Committed' figure in the Item Master Data (Stock Management -> Item Master Data) is made up of:

• Open Sales Order
• Open AR Reserve Invoice
• Planned Production Order for the components of a Bill of Material

A component with a 'Backflush' issue method will have its units used in a 'Production Order' remaining in the 'Committed' column until the report for completion/receipt production has been created.

A component with a 'Manual' issue method will have its units used in a 'Production Order' remaining in the 'Committed' column until the 'Issue for Production' is created.

For example:

Sales Order:  3 units of the items are ordered from Warehouse 01. The 'Committed' column for Warehouse 01 is updated with the quantity '3'.


Reserve invoice: 3 more units are sold from Warehouse 02. The 'Committed' column for Warehouse 02 is updated with the quantity '3'.


Production Order: 3 more units are ordered from Warehouse 03. The 'Committed' column of the components will be updated as per the planned quantity.
