The new management dashboard provides an at-a-glance view of key performance indicators
for an interactive, real-time summary of a company?s overall performance. The dashboard
enables executives to more effectively implement key business strategies, track corporate
and sales objectives, and reach company performance goals.
The management cockpit provides status of key metrics via user-defined, color-coded
indicators. Users can drill down through each indicator to obtain details for each
function, such as the status of a call center inquiry - open, pending, closed -- or the
history of sales by month.
Functions that can be tracked through the Corporate Cockpit include the following:
- Revenue by project or region
- Open invoices
- Shipment quantities
- Call center inquiries
- Sales queues
- Management by objective achievements
Details: http://www.compiere.org/functionality/dashboard.html
Note: Dashboard or Cockpit are synonyms; they are made of Key Performance Indicators.
You are not bound to the traditional red-yellow-green - you can define what color
represents what progress stage.
When clicking on the performance indicator, you'll see the history or detailed status.
Examples are bar charts of:
- History of sales by month
- Sales Queue value by phase (e.g. first contact, ... Contract negotiation)
- Open Call-Center Inquiries by status (e.g. open, assigned, waiting on customer, etc.)
Clicking on a bar of the chart then brings you directly to the detail transaction records;
e.g. The open invoices, call center inquiries with longest waiting time, etc.
The initial QA release is available from Compiere partners or if you have a support
contract. The next dashboard release will include features like internal and external
benchmarking and financial ratios.
You can learn details about the Dashboard by signing up for the next Compiere Intensive
Training in San Diego, CA (27-Feb to 3-Mar). The Intensive Training is the functional
training for ERP implementers and allows participants not just to utilize the Compiere
functionality more efficiently but also speed up the implementation while reducing the
implementation risk. |
