All Self Service Screens Error Received while accessing Self Service screens: "You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact your system administrator" There is no other error message on the screen. This error message is a very generic message and does not give the user any idea about the problem. The User needs to contact the Sysadmin and the Sysadmin should perform the following steps: 1. Set the following profile options at the User/Site level
FND: Diagnostics = Yes
FND: Message Level Threshold = "Debug High" 2. Bounce the Web Server. 3. Try to reproduce the error. 4. The Error Stack should now be displayed. 5. Check if the Error Stack gives any idea about the problem which can be Setup and which can be fixed without contacting Support. If the resolution of the issue is beyond your scope, then please log a service request with Oracle Support referring to the complete Error Stack. 6. Copy and paste the whole error message instead of taking a screenshot and upload to the Service Request. Press CTRL+A on the Error Page and then CTRL+C and then Paste into Metalink using CTRL+V or paste it in a notepad/word document and upload to Metalink. |
