Make sure that your Eclipse Platform Editor is using the appropriate Java Developer Kit and Runtime Environment. If you do not have the JDKs on your machine, download the JDK from the JavaSoft website.
You must use the Java Developer Kit version 1.4 to compile and run MAXIMO.
In order to run the Eclipse Platform Editor with the appropriate Java Developer Kit and Runtime Environment, perform the following.
1. Go to the eclipse install directory.
2. Create a shortcut to eclipse.exe.
3. Edit the properties of the shortcut, by right clicking on the shortcut just created and selecting the properties option. In the target filed, pass the following arguments to eclipse.exe
