How to update stock quantities according to a previous date?

• In order to make an update according to a certain date, click the 'Inventory Posting' tab page under Stock Management -> Stock Transactions -> Initial Quantities, Stock Tracking and Stock Posting -> Select the tab 'Stock Posting'.

• Enter the required selection criteria & click on 'OK'.

• In the resulting 'Stock Posting' window, change the date to the required backdated one in the 'Date' field. In the 'Details' field record the reason for this transaction.

• Enter the difference between the displayed stock level in the warehouse & the actual stock level counted on that day. Click on 'Update Quantities'.

Once the quantities have been updated, the actually counted quantity appears in the 'Counted' column & the 'Price' column is greyed out.

• In order to complete the update and record the actual quantity in SAP Business One, click the 'Reconcile' button.

Note:

We highly recommend to export these values to MS Excel to create a record of the details of the transaction before reconciling since the data in this window will not be available again.
