Logistics
Dual Unit of Measure Control was added to Oracle Inventory in order to support Process Manufacturing functionality that was required as a result of the OPM and Discrete Inventory Convergrence

Dual Unit of Measure Control allows an item to be tracked in two units of measure at the same time. Typically a count and a weight, volume or size are tracked.

Material Status Control -
- Previously available only to WMS users, Material Status Control is now available to all users of Oracle Inventory.
- A Profile option can be used to disable this functionality.

Background: Verify Setup
Assign Label Type to Business Flow:

• Ensure that “Material” label type is assigned to “Miscellaneous / Account Receipt” for your responsibility.
• If it is not, or to be safe, assign it for your user.

Assign Printers to Documents

• Ensure that a printer is defined for “Material” label type.
• If there is not, or to be save, assign a printer for your user to “Material” label type.

Label Printing Profiles

• Ensure all label printing profiles are properly set:
  • WMS: Label Print Mode
  • WMS: Label file prefix
  • WMS: Label output directory
• Output directory does not need to be accurate since we will be looking at XML files through Label History form, not through XML files.

Oracle Labor Management allows the warehouse manager to track the amount of time each user takes to complete his or her set of tasks within the warehouse. Oracle Labor Management then analyzes this information for two primary purposes, Resource Planning Analysis and Labor Productivity Analysis. Resource Planning predicts the amount of time or amount of staff needed to complete a set of tasks. Labor Productivity evaluates the performance of individual employees based on engineered labor standards or standards relative to other warehouse staff.

What's New?
        Flexible Prospective Supplier Registration: For Release 12.0, the Prospective Supplier Registration feature has been significantly enhanced so that customers are able to configure the type of qualification details that are captured during the registration flow.  They can define which elements of the supplier profile need to be filled-out and also have the flexibility to include customized questionnaires using iSurvey that must be completed by the supplier as part of their registration request.  
       
        Supplier Approval Management: In Release 12.0, Oracle iSupplier Portal leverages the Approval Management Engine to allow companies to generate customized approval flows for processing supplier requests and registrations.  

Assumptions
Supplier Approval Management:  In the ADS demo env, this feature is NOT enabled to speed up the demo flow and approval process.  ONLY IF you need to show this integration for your demo, please do the following to enable feature:
1.        Go to system profile form in sysadmin and update site level value to YES for profile “POS: Use AME for Supplier Approval”.  The system will now use the rules setup in AME for approval.  CRITICAL: BE SURE TO SET SITE VALUE BACK TO “NO” AFTER YOUR DEMO.
2.        Go to resp:  Approvals Management Business Analyst (AME access).  Find Transaction Type:  POS Supplier Approval Management.  Then create rules, setup, etc as needed for your demo to show approval path.

This demo flow script will highlight a basic transaction from Requisition to Purchase Order using the new Professional Buyers Work Center in R12. Please be sure to review script “1 Purchasing - Professional Buyer's Work Center Overview” for a full list of Buyer Work Center features. This script will only cover the sections applicable to process a requisition into a purchase order.
