R12 FSG: PERF0005: Oracle Error Detected In GET_DEF_LDGS - ORA-01403: No Data Fo

This problem can occur on any platform.
SymptomsFSG report for a new ledger can not be generated although same report for another ledger is generated without issue. The two Ledgers have the same chart of accounts but different currency and periods.

The FSG log file shows the following messages:
    PERF0005: Oracle error detected in get_def_ldgs - ORA-01403: no data found
    ...
     RG_ALL_NO_PERIOD
    There is no period which matches your
    period of interest combined with your
    period offset.
    rgrsap.rgrsxp
    No period with offset of -11 satisfying standard query
CauseIncorrect setup of the column set and/or period the FSG is run for.

In this case, the period JUN-08 is selected when submitting the FSG to run.
One of the columns in the Column Set used for this report has an Offset of -11 (meaning that it will report on the 11th period prior to JUN-08). But per the log, there is no period that is 11 periods prior.
SolutionTo implement the solution:

Adjust the column set or period you are running this for accordingly.
All Columns in an FSG must reference (via the Offset) periods that exist, and have been opened, i.e., they have balances.
