This position offers an opportunity to contribute and have exposure to all stages of the systems development life cycle; the successful candidate will take responsibility for key areas of analysis and design, development of middleware and/or database and/or GUI components (based on candidate’s skill set and interest) as well as project management and discussions around the strategic direction for the products. In addition, the candidate will participate in maintenance of the production environment including Level 2 on-call activities and some weekend activities such as software turnovers. Participation in lively discussion about technical and business issues is common meaning that strong communication skills and willingness to express their own views as well as listen to others is vital.

The role will be part of a global development and testing team located in Canada, USA, China and India.

Skills Required

- At least 3 years working on GUI technologies, like Ajax, Javascript, HTML, CSS, JSON, FLex

- Linux/Unix and experience on scripting languages (shell, Perl, etc.)

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

- Highly motivated, willingness to learn new technologies

Skills Desired

- Java, JUnit, XML, SOAP, MQSeries, Spring, Hibernate.

- Experience in working geographically dispersed teams
