 Working as a member of the global development team, writes design documents for large enterprise database applications.

General Expectations:

Development Operations: In this role, the individual will be expected to work with a team to ensure that all supported development activities are executed in a timely manner with high degree of quality.  This will involve monitoring and executing all packaging and posting activities related to the deliverable.  It is also expected that you will familiarize yourself with all processes, tools and applications in place to facilitate this activity.  This needs interaction with different teams in the organization (development, quality assurance, customer support, product management and customer programs).  You will also need to acquire a very detailed understanding of packaging & posting of maintenance packs as well as creating and maintaining schedules for delivering support.  A close interaction with customer support is also needed to ensure seamless delivery of maintenance to the customer portal.
Release management: This responsibility involves working with development and product management to plan and execute new release deliverables.  This will involve setting up the release definitions (feature deliverables for each product), configuration of release management tools to monitor progress, and effective reporting on a periodic basis to capture and communicate progress to all stake-holders.  Skills desired include project management, capacity / resource allocation and release planning (deliverables, timelines, dependencies…etc)
General Operations: Other operational responsibilities include program management around hardware/software access and roll-outs, creation of ad-hoc reports on various development operation initiatives, analysis of support development data (maintenance costs, bug reports, etc.) and other related tasks. Oracle is building a new best in class, java standard based application suite called Fusion Applications. The Fusion Supply China Division is part of the effort and is designing a building the Fusion Manufacturing Modules.

Key Objective
Analyze, design, develop and Unit test Fusion Manufacturing Application components for our best in class Fusion Application suite.
Responsibilities:
1. Create technical design specifications based on functional designs
2. Convert design specifications into high quality working code within allocated budget and time frame
3. Ensure quality of deliverables by adhering to project standards
4. Conduct code review of programs written by peers
5. Perform unit and system integration testing
6. Resolve complex system bugs and errors identified during all phases of testing
7. Resolve complex service requests raised by customers according to defined processes and within set timeframe
8. Coordinate with teammates and other teams in resolving issues.
9. Lead technical designs as well as ensure technical reviews.
10. Mentor / lead junior staff including market hires and university recruiting hires.
11. Ability and desire to work in a geographically distributed team
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Possess B.S. or M.S. degree in a field relevant to functional area
2. 4-7 years work experience in JAVA, J2EE, XML, and ADF
3. Good SQL skills with experience in developing RDBMS applications
4. Good understanding of relational database design ,normalization and data models
5. Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and methodology
6. Good understanding of object-oriented design and development
7. Good understanding of application development in a multi-tier environment
8. Creative, has initiative and able to work independently
9. Good command of speaking and writing English. Well developed interpersonal skills are also critical as the job requires constant interaction with other teams that are not located locally. Working effectively in a virtual team with members located in multiple time zones may be a feature of this position, as well as the ability to attend conference calls outside of normal working hours.
10. Consistently delivers high quality results on time.
11. Works well with others in achieving goals and building productive relationships
12. Plans tasks and projects and defines the resources needed for achievement of deliverables.                                         
13. Experience in Manufacturing or in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) a plus.

Key Objective
Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for fusion application.
        
Detailed Description :
        
As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture whereever required.
        
Job Requirements :
        
Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with lead developers and/or functional peer group managers. Estimate, execute, monitor various kinds of development projects. Keep management informed with current progress of the project and propose necessary contingency plans as appropriate. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. Having technical expertise will be an added advantage,  as you will be involved in Code review, technical architect review  meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1.        Possess B.S. or M.S. degree in a field relevant to functional area
2.        8  to 12 years of software engineering or related experience, including 3+ years of people management experience
3.        8+ years work experience in JAVA, J2EE, XML, and ADF
4.        Good SQL skills with experience in developing RDBMS applications
5.        Good understanding of relational database design ,normalization and data models
6.        Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and methodology
7.        Good understanding of object-oriented design and development
8.        Good understanding of application development in a multi-tier environment
9.        Creative, has initiative and able to work independently but also strong team and cooperative spirit.
10.        Good command of speaking and writing English. Well developed interpersonal skills are also critical as the job requires constant interaction with other teams that are not located locally. Working effectively in a virtual team with members located in multiple time zones may be a feature of this position, as well as the ability to attend conference calls outside of normal working hours.
11.        Consistently delivers high quality results on time.
