Oracle General Ledger provides the flexibility to consolidate multiple sets of books regardless of differences in charts of accounts, functional currencies and calendars. Oracle General Ledger lets you define multiple sets of books to fit the varied dimensions of each of your businesses.

Major Features
Multiple Sets of Books
Oracle General Ledger lets you define an unlimited number of sets of books for companies with different currencies, calendars, and charts of accounts. In addition, you can define multiple sets of books with different chart of accounts structures that share common segment values.
Secured Access to Each Set of Books
You control access to each set of books by assigning each application user to a responsibility. Each responsibility gives a user access to a specific menu, application, and set of books. Your System Administrator can define as many responsibilities as you want, and can assign one or more responsibilities to each user.
Flexible Consolidation Rules
Oracle General Ledger lets you define consolidation rules to map the accounts in your subsidiary sets of books to your parent set of books. You choose the amount of detail you want to include in your consolidation.
Consolidation Models
Oracle General Ledger lets you consolidate balances between multiple sets of books or within a set of books. Additionally, you can choose to consolidate balances or journal lines, and you can even consolidate average balances, budgets, and/or statistical balances.
Flexible Consolidation Rules
Flexible consolidation mapping rules allow consolidation of diverse subsidiaries with many different charts of accounts into a single accounting entity.

Consolidation Audit Reports
Oracle General Ledger lets you run your consolidations in audit mode so you can obtain detailed audit reports before posting. You can request a Consolidation Audit Report that shows how each account in your subsidiary set of books was consolidated into an account in your parent set of books, or request an Unmapped Subsidiary Accounts Report to see any accounts from your subsidiary set of books that were not consolidated into your parent set of books. Consolidation Reporting Oracle General Ledger lets you create consolidated reports for each company in a set of books, as well as consolidated reports for multiple sets of books. You can also create consolidating reports which reconcile your consolidated and subsidiary balances. And, you can request a listing report with detailed information about your consolidations and a listing report with information about consolidated transactions. |
