Oracle Order Management provides powerful pricing tools and features to easily create and maintain any number of price lists and discounts.  As you enter your sales orders, Oracle Order Management's online pricing automatically calculates your order line prices.  You can easily adjust the calculated price using discounts.
Business Needs
Oracle Order Management provides you with the pricing features necessary to satisfy the following basic needs:
•        Quickly create and maintain your product list prices.
•        Create as many price lists as you need and assign them to orders as needed.
•        Automatically price order lines as you enter them.
•        Price your products using additional pricing factors, such as number of users.
•        Discount your product list prices, using automatically or manually applied discounts.
•        Control discounts by price list, customer, item, order type, agreement, and purchase order.
•        Control the ability to override the calculated price at order entry.
Major Features
Multiple Price Lists   
You can define one master price list, or several different price lists.  To improve accuracy at order entry, you can have Oracle Order Management default the price list for an order from the agreement, customer or order type by using standard value rule sets.
Price List Currency   
Oracle Order Management lets you assign a currency to each price list to support sales to other countries.  The currency of the order and price list must match.  
Secondary Price Lists   
For each price list you define, Oracle Order Entry lets you attach a secondary price list.  If the item being ordered is not on the primary price list, Oracle Order Management uses the price on the secondary price list.  This is useful when you have a special set of promotion items that you do not want to add permanently to your standard price lists.  
Updating Price Lists   
Oracle Order Management makes it easy to increase or decrease your price list prices.  You can specify percentages or fixed amount changes for the entire price list or a subset of items.  
Copying Price Lists   
Oracle Order Management lets you easily create new price lists from existing ones.  You can copy entire price lists or only a subset of items from a price list.  You can specify whether Oracle Order Management should copy all associated discounts to the new price list.
Add Inventory Items to a Price List   
Oracle Order Management allows you to quickly add inventory items to your price lists, either by item category, item status or a range of items.  You can add items with no price or priced at the inventory cost.
Item Groups   
You can create groups of items, related or not, that you can easily add to one or more of your price lists.  Each time you add the item group, you identify the effective start and end dates for the items on each price list.  You can use item groups to quickly create new price lists, or create an item group for a new set of products and then add the entire group at once to each price list.
Price Adjustments (Discounts)  
Oracle Order Management makes it easy to create customized discount programs by allowing you to define as many different types of discounts as you need.  Create discounts to apply automatically or manually, at your discretion.
Oracle Order Management lets you modify the calculated order line price at order entry, if appropriate for your business.  You can restrict this ability for the entire system, or certain responsibilities or users.  Oracle Order Management allows you to choose the applicable discount to track the difference between the list price and the user-entered selling price.
