Q:Can we connect to oracle 9i release2 database and Oracle database 8i using forms 4.5 and reports 2.5 in a 2 tier structure?

A:You may be able to connect to 9.x database from forms 4.5. However

most of the functionalities will not work since forms 45 is not designed against 9.x database. And this combination is not supported
