Job Description
This individual will serve as a Senior PeopleSoft HCM Application Database Administrator, providing application technical and database support in PeopleSoft HCM Applications 8.8 or higher. This individual is responsible for maintaining and updating the landscape architecture, ensuring the health of the systems and databases, ensuring the operational run books are accurate and maintained, performing overall daily management of PeopleSoft applications environment, and performing operational tasks and activities (e.g., clones, database refreshes, patching, performance tuning, etc.).

Key requirement
• The Senior PeopleSoft HCM Application DBA will troubleshoot and resolve trouble tickets from clients for PeopleSoft Applications 8.x HCM (i.e. HR, PY, BB, BA, eApps), and Cognos BI Reporting and Analysis, involving PeopleSoft application and Cognos databases.
• The Senior PeopleSoft HCM Application DBA will perform operational tasks and activities (e.g., clones, database refreshes, patching, performance tuning, PeopleSoft fixes/updates, etc.) to ensure client service level metrics are maintained or exceeded.
• The Senior PeopleSoft HCM Application DBA is responsible for reviewing application and database upgrades, regulatory and security patches, and determines their applicability to the client environment.
• The Senior PeopleSoft HCM Application DBA is responsible for participating and performing tasks for disaster recovery procedures and for clustered fail-over’s.
• The Senior PeopleSoft HCM Application DBA will maintain application database availability, tune the databases to enhance customer satisfaction, and mitigate chronic system problems causing repetitive trouble tickets.
• The Senior PeopleSoft HCM Application DBA is responsible for performing any documented procedures, batch processes, or scripts according to operational run books and standard operating procedures.
• The Senior PeopleSoft HCM Application DBA will maintain the database documents, and technical specifications, and ensure the system and databases are maintained to promote the business calendar of their assigned clients.
• The Senior PeopleSoft HCM Application DBA is responsible for initiating, testing, documenting, and managing PeopleSoft application technical assistance requests to resolution per the client service level agreements.
• Senior PeopleSoft HCM Application DBA is responsible for performing assignments on-call.
• The Senior PeopleSoft HCM Application DBA will comply with the client’s ITIL processes.
