Oracle Competency - Job Specification for Oracle eBS Functional Consultants

IBM GBS (Global Business Services) China GDC (Global Delivery Center) is building up end to end consulting & delivery capability on Oracle eBS consulting and implementation practice in Shanghai and Dalian, China. The consultants in this team will sell, consult and deliver Oracle eBS ERP package to create value of IBM worldwide clients especially the clients in Japan markets and the clients in China markets from Japan.

The clients will focus on but not limited to the industry of Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, General Business, Telecom, Public, Retail, etc. The business domain will focus on Oracle Finance, Oracle Manufacturing, Oracle Order to Cash and Oracle Procure to Pay.

China (IBM China GDC, Shanghai and Dalian) will be used as a base location for this team, however the job will involve extensive work from client locations in Japan and around the world in mature and growth markets and in some cases for extended periods as well so global mobility is a key requirement for this role as high end consulting assignments are best done at client premises.

Band 8/7 – Managing Consultant/Senior Consultant, Oracle Competency

Managing Consultants/Senior Consultants are expected to perform engagement activities ranging from solution to delivery as required by the Sales team or Partners. They should have lead the delivery of one or more work streams or multiple work products on major portions of large or medium engagements.
They must possess the following skills:

• Project Profiles: Leads the delivery of one or more work streams or multiple work products on major portions of large or medium engagements or delivery. Experienced managing consultants may lead engagements autonomously
• Sales & Proposal Management: Supports the Associate Partner and Senior Managing Consultants in engagement pursuits: developing project objectives, scope, approach, timeline.
  
• Project Delivery Tasks: Gather facts (through research, interviewing, surveys, etc.), analyze the client's business, make the design, implement Oracle eBS package and perform on-going support. Estimates and presents costs, schedules, and business risks associated with specific client situations
• Competency: Proficient in consulting methodology's, key technologies, engagement support tools and have recognized expertise within competency area and/or industry
• Relationship Management: Works directly with clients at lower executive levels.
  Ability to establish working relationships with key client personnel

Requirements

• At least 3 years Oracle eBS implementation experience
• Solid domain experience in Financials, Distribution or Manufacturing with a minimum of 3 end-to-end project experience as Oracle eBS Functional Consultant
• Good industry knowledge and experience in Insurance, Banking, Manufacturing or Retail
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude, good team-work
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command of Japanese with JPLT-2 above
• Qualifications (Education/Major/Certificates)
• Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science or IT related major, finance or business related major•
